About a month or so ago, I was having many issues with my frenchie. She was not eating her two meals a day. Vomiting was something kind "normal" for her. We already fed her natural food (not raw) since she was a puppy (she is now 5 years). She also has IBD. After watching this video I tried 1 meal a day and oh my god what a difference it has been in her life. Yes, the first day she barfed but that was it. Second day was life as usual. She is more energetic than ever and is eating every little drop of food she can find. Thank you so much for sharing this! I really appreciate. Cheers from Brazil!

My dog has been on this diet for 2 months now, and she is losing weight. Doing well, but getting skinny. Will adding sweet potato help add some carbs and help her put on some weight? And if so, do I use both butternut squash and sweet potato- or one or the other? Is there any other vegetables that will help gain weight, and there are still are safe for dogs with renal failure?

I tried my Shih-tzu, who also has a bunch of bladder stones, on all the different prescription meds recommended by my vet, she snubbed her nose in disgust at all of them, even when I didn’t feed her anything else she would not eat it. I have done this recipe myself and she loves it. I also use some carrots and broccoli at times.

Im confused..l thought you said RAW was best...mine have raw minced chicken, veg, dried mushroom blend, green lipped mussel. However, one of them suffers itchy ears the other rhinitis!!! So l don't know whats best?? Any suggestions Cam?

Hey. All thing you suggest sounds very good if you live in house in one place. We are travelers, with a tiny fridge and micro freezer in it. What food would you suggest in our case? Have an aussie puppy atm and soon we will need to switch to adult feeding.

I would love you to talk about green tripe more! I fed green tripe to my Cavalier but then he got persistent diarrhea and was diagnosed with coccidia. I treated him with toltrazuril successfully and stop green tripe, Any thoughts on how to avoid coccidia from cow's tripe, please?

Hills has over 200 vets, food scientists, and PH.D nutritionists for a combined average of 114,400 weeks of training in veterinarian school. You should be able to ask to visit the Hills Pet Nutrition Center in Kansas. I'm sure the board-certified nutritionists and vets would love to learn from you. Maybe you can share some of your published studies with them. Hey, why not make a UA-cam video of your visit? Keep up the good fight!

Thanks! My vet recommended royal canin hepatic for my dog, she just came home after surgery but I knew this food was just overpriced bullsht. Those ingredients don’t seem to have anything to do with liver issues. The worst part is that he prohibited home made food (fresh natural diet), instead he did recommend this bullcr4p. Some vets are just lost regarding nutrition.

Great information. Thank you. I would also add the cooled meat broth to the dog's food. It would be a waste to not use it. If you dry the eggshells just naturally they crush much easier and then you can bag them up to add to the food as needed. I do this for my chickens. :)

Some of this makes a lot of sense, and some of it just sounds like a good way to create a confused, neurotic dog that eats furniture. 🙄I see the very same thing in the horse world - that is, people so hung up on being "natural" that they've forgotten that horses and people have to live real, functional lives together, right here in the modern world.

can we all just agree that FAT IS GOOD OIL IS BAD- there has been enough studies now. it would not be any different for animals than humans. a lion does not trim off fat from a gazelle.. but would die if he consumed plant based oil
